The 822 armchair, crafted from solid beech wood and veneer, is a creation by Claesson Koivisto Rune for Ton, available since September 2022. This piece draws inspiration from Josef Hoffmann’s 1930 modernist model 811, featuring proportions that embrace the natural forms of manual bentwood technology. The design incorporates circular holes in the seat and backrest, enhancing its visual appeal and allowing it to harmonize with its surroundings and the attire of its user. The collection utilizes shaped plywood and manually bent solid wood, exclusively using PEFC-certified beechwood known for its pale color and soft texture. Finishes include oil or lacquer to accentuate the wood's natural qualities, while stains and pigments offer a unique character, making it a versatile choice for hotels, cafés, lounges, and waiting rooms.
